  Well, actually I have tried many different ways to keep fit. But it didn’t work every time because I always find it hard to insist. But now I have worked on a new way to keep fit and I think it is awesome. Every day I would wake up early in the morning and then do aerobics for half an hour. In the past, I usually go to jog for half an hour after I had my supper. But after a long day’s work, I just felt so tired and I had to force myself to walk out of the dormitory and jog in the playground. But now I get up early in the morning and I feel energetic. Besides, I have much more fun doing aerobics than jogging. It has rhythms and some dance moves. So interesting.

  Normally I get up early and do aerobics every day except weekends. My roommates sometimes join me. I would use my iPad to play the video and follow it to do aerobics. In order not to disturb others, I normally do aerobics in the playground. Doing aerobics helps me lose weight and eliminate stress. Now I feel energetic all day. In the past I would easily get cold, but now I am much healthier.

  Staying in good shape is everyone’s concern and I am no exception. To be honest, I have been so caught up in my study since I entered university that I have a problem in organizing my daily routine. However, I have been participating in a yoga class for about 2 years, which takes me only 1 hour a day, to try to lead a healthy lifestyle.

  Unlike dancing or running, yoga definitely involves stretching actions. You might look at yoga and think that it is light and easy but it is more demanding than it appears. Yoga allows me to work on all the parts of my body. It can burn a lot of calories in just one hour of training. Also, it enhances my flexibility and suppleness in every single movement.

  What I enjoy the most about yoga is meditation. It is all about regulating your breathing and helping you take things off your mind easily. Another thing is that doing yoga is supposed to be good for curing headaches and digestion-related problems, so it benefits not only physical well-being but also mental health.

  By maintaining a schedule of taking part in the yoga class on a daily basis, I feel extremely relaxed and full of energy after the class. It helps me to keep fit refresh my mind after a long stressful day. And of course, I don’t see myself stopping practicing this activity any time soon.

  I'm going to describe a way that I do to keep fit, currently, which IS swimming. I used to swim a lot when I was younger, but I've recently taken it up again, and I go a couple of times a week now. I go swimming in a gym that I joined, which has a nice swimming pool. I tried going to my local public pool, but it was too busy and you couldn't really swim up and down in lanes there. So, I found a gym that has a pool, and it's usually quite empty, and I can have a lane to myself and swim up and down.

  As I said, I do this hobby or activity alone. I don't go there with anyone; it's a solitary sport really, and I'm doing it for my own health reasons. Obviously, of course, there are other people in the pool when I'm there; sometimes you have to share a lane with another person or a couple of people. But, basically, I'm in there, focused, on my own, concentrating on my own swimming stroke and technique, and trying to improve my endurance and stamina as well.

  And the reason I think this is a healthy sport... well, I think it’s widely accepted that swimming is really healthy. It’s a good ,it’s great cardiovascular exercise, it's a low-impact sport, so you're not expected to get any injuries as you might do if you were running, where there's impact on the joints with swimming you don't have that. So I think it's really good for the body, but it's also good for the mind. When I get into the swimming pool, as soon as I hit the water it clears my mind, I'm focused only on one thing, which is my stroke, my technique, the breathing - it makes you think about your breathing as well, which IS good. And I think it rejuvenates and reinvigorates you to be in the water. It's a really relaxing experience.

  Walking is a good form of exercise and requires less physical efforts than any other regular forms of exercise. I walk regularly in the morning to keep my body fit.

  I want to talk about one of the most popular forms of exercise - walking. Walking has a wide range of health benefits. It makes the people fit and the most important thing is that the people who walk do not need any external instruments to perform the walk. Moreover, it is convenient to all ages of people. There is no preset speed or distance is set for walking. So, an individual can have the walk after his or necessity. But in some cases when walking is prescribed by a doctor to prevent any specific physical illness or disorder, then you are to follow the prescribed distance to get cured.

  Well, I usually take the walk in the early hours of the day and take it every day. I have no physical disorders or any other troubles but I go for the walk to have a grand opening for the day. Usually, on the weekends, I take a break from the walk. You know the weekend nights are too exciting in Singapore streets and thus I cannot get back at home before midnight. If you were me, it would have been tougher for you too to get up at 5.30am for the walk. So, I take the breaks on the weekends. But on the other days, I do not miss the walk and also have formed a team of walkers who accompany me in the early morning. I have two neighbours who are also conscious about their health and thus we three move for the walk in the city street.

  Do you know that walking is the best form of free hand exercise? I think you are well informed about it. In fact, walking does not need any specific cause to perform and the benefits are more than your imagination. I get the walk done in the morning so that I can have a healthy beginning of the day. When I go out for the walk, I have the chance to breathe in the fresh air. Besides, the surrounding environment is calm and quiet. There are not traffics on the roads and everything remains silent which is not found in the other times of the day. So, I walk in the morning. Besides, I have to sit all the time in my office (the boring desk job) and lack the required movements to burn calories I intake. Though the calories are not harmful now, they contain the potentials to affect me after few years if I do not care about them from now. This is another important issue for me to walk in the morning.

  The morning walk is helping me to a great extent to maintain my fitness level. I have been walking for around three years and as a result, my weight is under control and the heartbeat follows the regular rhythm while many of my colleagues have gained weight only for their desk job whereas I have been fit as I was in the beginning days of my job. Moreover, the morning walk makes my mind fresh and I feel lucky to breathe in the fresh air. Usually, the air is hot and polluted in the busy hours in this Lion city and I also cannot manage enough spaces to walk speedily. So, I have picked the morning to get the walk. Besides, it gives me the energy to deal all the challenges at my office. Moreover, I can think clearly which I believe is the benefit of walking as it keeps my thoughts cool always.
